Richard M. and Patricia H. Noyes Professor of Chemistry Geraldine Richmond was appointed by President Obama to the National Science Board in November 2012. She specializes in chemistry, materials science and chemical reactions on liquid surfaces. Inducted into the National Academy of Sciences in 2011, she co-founded the Committee on the Advancement of Women Chemists (COACh) to provide mentoring and support to women scientists around the globe.
