Christine Gramer is an associate director in IIT, stewarding all aspects of innovation management from disclosure through licensing. Her portfolio includes chemistry, biology, physics, math, the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Advancing Scientific Impact, human physiology, earth sciences, geography, the InfoGraphics Lab, product design, and architecture.
As a patent agent, Christine can advise on questions regarding patentability, the patent process, and the significance of an issued patent. She handles agreements with academic or private sector partners including non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, patent cooperation or inter-institutional agreements, and licensing agreements.
Christine is available for presentations on topics regarding intellectual property, agreements, and academic innovation management. She co-organizes the Women’s Innovation Network, which is an educational and mentoring program to support women-identifying innovators.
Christine holds a PhD in Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley, a BA in Chemistry from New College of Florida, and is a registered patent agent. She has been in the technology transfer office since 2003.
