As the innovation asset administrator, Niki supports the IIT team in managing the intellectual property portfolio. Niki handles agreement triage, the innovation management database (including the innovator portal), UO’s project rules management portal Echelon, and registering copyrights. She conducts compliance reporting for sponsored inventions including assisting with award closeouts and iEdison administration. Additionally, Niki regularly produces reports on IIT’s performance and the commercialization of UO technologies. 

Prior to joining the UO, Niki was part of the Licensing and Ventures Group at the University of Virginia. She performed a similar function, tracking licensee compliance, Bayh-Dole compliance, and supervising intellectual property workflow. She worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where she was administrative support for the deputy and associates general counsel. 

Niki obtained a BS in Biology from American University in 2014.
