Undergraduate Research at the University of Oregon

Participation in research is a vital part of the undergraduate experience at the University of Oregon. Students from across the academic disciplines can be found investigating, discovering, creating, and innovating. Research experiences allow students to explore and clarify their academic and professional goals while developing critical thinking and important workforce skills.

Research Programs and Grants

Undergraduate research programs provide funding to support student involvement in research. At the University of Oregon, there are two types of funding opportunities: Fellowships and Grants. Fellowship programs provide direct support to students in the form of a scholarship/fellowship stipend. Grant programs provide support to offset the cost of supplies, materials, equipment, travel, and other research-related expenses. For more information about programs contact urop@uoregon.edu
